Former AOL executive Rivera brought new discipline to the BBC’s sprawling digital operations when he arrived at the corporation in 2010. He has responsibility for all of the BBC’s digital media products across mobile devices, the web and internet-connected TV platforms, providing the public with flexible access to the BBC’s service media. Rivera now plays a central role in helping it navigate the 2016 renewal of its Royal Charter, the constitutional basis of the BBC.
