One of Britain’s foremost theatre actresses, Dame Harriet Walter has enjoyed an extraordinary career in theatre, film, television and radio. After training at LAMDA, Dame Harriet has graced nearly every major London stage, winning the 1988 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Revival for her portrayals as Viola in Twelfth Night, Dascha in A Question of Geography and Masha in Three Sisters, all by the Royal Shakespeare Company. Her film work has included roles in The Young Victoria, Sense and Sensibility and Atonement, and she has also published three books. Dame Harriet was appointed a CBE in 2000 and a DBE in 2011.
