Hairstyles and Make-up

Bridesmaid hair and make-up styles, like everything else, should coordinate. Time should be spent considering the best look.

Magazines are a good starting point to research bridesmaid hairstyles. The bride should keep any pictures of styles that she likes.

An 'updo' hairstyle for longhaired bridesmaids is much smarter than leaving hair down. Bridesmaids with short hair should make sure that their hair is well cut and in shape for the big day. Matching clips, flowers or slides can help to create a uniform look.

Make-up should be discreet. If budget allows, it should be done professionally on the day if budget and time allows.

The bridesmaids should not need a hair rehearsal, but the hairdresser will want to discuss their style in advance and may want to meet them to see their hair types.
