Andrew Holgate

Literary Editor, The Sunday Times

Still the most influential literary pages in the UK, The Sunday Times has been home to Andrew Holgate for more than 15 years. After reading History at Durham University, Holgate transitioned into the book world where he has now been for over 30 years, whether in bookselling, publishing, editing or literary journalism. In 1999 he became deputy literary editor of The Sunday Times and has been literary editor since 2008. A consistently astute reviewer of all things book-related, he has edited two books and is also a regular presence on judging panels of literary awards including the Samuel Johnson Prize, the Orwell Prize and the Somerset Maugham Award.
