Blenheim Palace Horse Trials

17.09.15 - 20.09.15
Woodstock, Oxfordshire

A well-established fixture of the eventing calendar, the Blenheim horse trials have run since 1990, and continue to attract some of the world's best riders, as well as thousands of spectators.

The first two days of the event (Thursday and Friday) see dressage tests in the main arena against the magnificent backdrop of Blenheim Palace.

On Saturday and Sunday cross-country races take centre stage - riders are confronted by big, solid fences as they take on the challenge of a timed course, running around the parkland. On Sunday the trials culminate with a show-jumping finale.

Other activities - such as pony club and riding club competitions and equine displays - take place in the main arena throughout the three-day event (which actually takes place over four days).

Throughout the trials, Blenheim Palace and grounds remain open as usual - you will have plenty of opportunity to wander around the staterooms, admire the amazing collections of tapestries, paintings and porcelains, and visit the Churchill Exhibition, which is set in the room where Winston Churchill was born. Capability Brown landscaped the magnificent grounds in the 1760s.
