Seating in the Church
When guests arrive at the church, the ushers ask them whether they are a friend/relative of the bride or groom and seat them appropriately.
The bride's family and friends will sit on the left hand side of the church and the groom's on the right.
Seating should be reserved for bridesmaids (at the front) and ushers.
Parents sit on the front row, grandparents and siblings in the next and close family behind. If guests are friends of both the bride and groom, they should be given the best available spot.
If one family has more guests than the other, guests can be seated on either side to balance things out. The ushers should inform guests that this is the case as they enter the church, and guests can then choose where to sit.
