Dame Gail Rebuck, DBE

Chair, Penguin Random House

Dame Gail Rebuck is the chair of Penguin Random House, Britain’s largest publisher. Cited as one of the most well respected figures in British publishing, Rebuck was appointed chair and chief executive of Random House UK in 1991, the world’s first truly global trade book publishing company. Penguin Random House publishes more than 15,000 new titles each year and its prestigious publishing list includes more than 70 Nobel Prize Laureates. In 2014, Rebuck was announced as a new Labour peer and joined the House of Lords.
