Carolyn McCall, OBE

CEO, EasyJet

As the CEO of EasyJet since 2010, Carolyn McCall has been responsible for improving punctuality and introducing innovations in the airline. Under her leadership, EasyJet has reached a landmark of 60 million passengers annually, and the company entered the FTSE 100 for the first time in 2013. After graduating, McCall initially trained as a teacher before moving into advertising and marketing and eventually becoming chief executive of Guardian Media Group. In 2013 she was voted City AM’s Personality of the Year, is a former president of Women in Advertising and Communications London and the 2014 winner of the Business Achievement Award at the British Travel Industry Hall of Fame Awards. McCall was appointed a UK business ambassador in 2014.
