Craig Donaldson

As the chief executive of Metro Bank, Craig Donaldson is responsible for providing executive leadership to its rapidly expanding team and guiding the bank’s evolution from an innovative and disruptive new presence on the high street to a reliable financial services partner for millions of new UK customers. Established by US businessman Vernon Hill in 2010, Metro Bank is the first new UK bank in 150 years. Educated at the University of Bradford, he has a degree in management and technology and has accrued extensive experience in his long career in the banking industry. Previously he has held the position of managing director of retail products at RBS as well as several senior roles with Barclays and HBOS.
