Fireworks are the ultimate grand finale but are, unfortunately, a major budgetary consideration. There are a variety of packages on offer, ranging from a few hundred pounds to a few thousands in cost.

The couple's wishes for the display should be discussed with a professional pyrotechnician. The pyrotechnic company should be a member of an official organisation and have the correct insurance; it is also wise to check their safety record.
The timings of the set up on the day should be arranged; it should also be confirmed whether the company will clear up.
Most couples decide to have fireworks at the end of the night, just before they go away. An announcement should be made in plenty of time to notify guests that the display is starting.
Sparklers
A cheaper option, which still looks impressive, is to send the bride and groom off with sparklers. It is sensible to distribute two sparklers to each of the guests - one lit and one unlit. The unlit sparkler is a back up in case the bride and groom are late leaving and the first sparkler has burnt out before the grand departure of the newly-weds.
