The St Moritz Polo World Cup Polo on Snow is the world's most prestigious winter polo tournament, attracting top class polo players from Argentina, Chile, the UK and Australia.
Over the course of the four-day tournament, there are two top-quality matches daily, culminating in the grand final on Sunday. The event started over 30 years ago when a handful of keen polo fans from St. Moritz decided to experiment with a brand-new type of sport: polo played on snow. Since then the event has gone from strength to strength, and now draws many spectators, attracted both by the passion and excitement of polo and the extremity of the conditions.
