Presenter and pundit Gary Lineker is hugely influential, not just through the BBC but also on Twitter, with 3.51 million followers. Lineker left school with four O-Levels, and one of his teachers reported that he ‘concentrates too much on football’ and that he would ‘never make a living’ out of such an interest. On top of Linker’s impressive international football career, for many people, he is simply the face of sport.
