Baroness Harding of Winscombe

Dido Harding, or the Baroness Harding of Winscombe as of August 2014, has been voted one of the 10 most influential women in the BBC Woman’s Power List 2014. Raised in Dorset, Harding studied PPE at Oxford and then for an MBA at Harvard before joining McKinsey Consulting. She worked for Thomas Cook, Woolworths and Tesco, where she held a number of senior positions, before joining the board of directors at Sainsbury’s as convenience director in 2007. Harding was named CEO of TalkTalk in 2010 where she oversaw the split of its Carphone Warehouse operation from the group’s telecom operation. She has also been a non-executive director of The British Land Company since 2010.
