Luke Johnson

Chairman, Centre for Entrepreneurs and StartUp Britain

Chairman of the Centre for Entrepreneurs (CFE) and StartUp Britain Luke Johnson made his name when he decided to take a share in a small London-based restaurant chain by the name of Pizza Express. Johnson and his business partner used their savings and overdrafts to pull together the necessary funds and convince the founder that they were suitable to lead the development of the company. Today, Johnson is the chairman of private equity house Risk Capital Partners LLP, and through his position at the CFE, aims to encourage the role of entrepreneurs in creating social well-being and economic growth.
