Alex Aiken

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR GOVERNMENT COMMUNICATIONS

Executive director for government communications since 2012, Alex Aiken is responsible for creating government communication services and developing cross-government campaigns. A graduate of the London School of Economics, Aiken has worked in parliament in the Conservative Party press office and Campaigns Unit. He became director of communications and strategy for Westminster City Council in 2000 where he led policy and communications teams until 2012. Aiken has also been National Secretary of LG communications and vice chairman of the Public Relations Consultants Association Council, and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and Public Relations Consultants Association.
