According to Chambers UK 2015, Jonathan Laidlaw QC is one of the ‘star silks’ practising in the country. The head of chambers at 2 Hare Court is frequently involved in the headline-grabbing cases. These include acting for Rebekah Brooks in the phone-hacking trial and for the Football Association in the Hillsborough inquests. In 2014, Laidlaw was awarded Crime Silk of the Year by Chambers and Partners.
