The Buzz: It's not hard to accept Blake Lively as an unattainable woman and an eternal beauty, and Lionsgate, who have done a great job promoting Adaline, could have more than a sleeper hit on their hands. And for those of you who find Michiel Huisman attractive but don't watch "Game of Thrones": you see a lot of his skin this season thus far.

Certificate PG-13   -   Comedy | Drama | War

Metascore: 30/100 (4 reviews)
An eight-year-old boy is willing to do whatever it takes to end World War II so he can bring his father home. The story reveals the indescribable love a father has for his little boy and the love a son has for his father.

The Buzz: I've poked around and read some reviews of Alejandro Monteverde's war drama and it seems like there could be a good movie in there if you strip out some of the music cues and rah-rah Americanism. I don't know if you're familiar with movie critic Ed Gonzalez at Slant but he's always reliable for thoughtful insights in his reviews.

Certificate R   -   Drama | War

Metascore: 60/100 (8 reviews)

The Buzz: I'm not sure how I missed it but I just recently discovered Russell Crowe's directorial feature debut which is finally getting a U.S. release after a successful run overseas. The film was nominated for five Australia Academy Awards and won three awards (it tied for Best Film with The Babadook). As I was watching the trailer, I was so moved by the beautiful cinematography I was pleasantly surprised to see it was shot by Andrew Lesnie, whose work includes The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Trilogies. This is a film I definitely want to see on the big screen.

Certificate R   -   Comedy | Drama

A young, narcissistic entrepreneur crashes and burns on the eve of his company's big launch. With his entire life in total disarray, he leaves Manhattan to move in with his estranged pregnant sister, brother-in-law and 3-year-old nephew in the suburbs - only to become their nanny.

The Buzz: I like the thought of Nick Kroll paired with Mark and Jay Duplass (the brothers are in producer mode here) now that I've acclimated to their respective forms of comedy. Like Amy Schumer, it's no surprise to see Kroll working out adulthood issues on the big screen after breaking through on TV, and I'm looking forward to seeing him play a relatable character.

  -   Documentary | Comedy

Over fifty very famous American and Canadian funny people (filmmakers, writers, actors and comedians) share life and professional journeys and insights, in an effort to shed light on the thesis: Do you have to be miserable to be funny?

The Buzz: Kevin Pollack's documentary has wisely skirted the film festival circuit save for a special screening at Sundance earlier this year and a showing at Tribeca upon the week of its general release. We imagine the doc will expand over the next few weeks based on good word of mouth.
