Bridal Headpieces
A wedding headpiece or headdress - such as a tiara - is often worn. Some pieces are chosen as an alternative to a veil, or others worn as an extra accessory. They can only be designed or bought once the dress has been chosen.
A family piece, such as a tiara, can be borrowed for the day. Make sure it has been professionally cleaned (if necessary) and tried on with the wedding dress.
The headdress is an item where the bride can introduce some individuality - if it suits her character and the style of her dress.
It must be comfortable, secure and must look good from all angles. Anything too heavy or difficult to fasten is not a good idea.
It should be taken along to the run-through with the hairdresser. This will enable the hairdresser to experiment with fitting the headdress before the big day.
If a bespoke piece is being made, then the bride will need at least two fittings - one with the dress.
