It seems actor Ranbir Kapoor is still rattled by the failure of Bombay Velvet, his third flop in a row after Besharam and Roy. In an interview to NDTV, Kapoor bared his heart on his state of mind post the film's release. “There's a sense of insecurity that's starting to trend inside of me. I'm feeling a sense of friction where I really don't know what's happening with my career. I know what's happening with my work but I don't know what's going to happen with my career.”

Bombay Velvet, which was expected to hit the jackpot at the box office, failed miserably. It garnered Rs 5.20 crore on the first day of its release and recorded a meagre Rs 20.97 crore in its first week. The film’s budget was said to be in excess of Rs 100 crore.

Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming films Tamasha and Jagga Jasoos are also big budget films, and thus the pressure on him to deliver a blockbuster is going to remain the same in the coming months as well.
