This race starts at Lighthouse Landing Resort in Grand Rivers into Land Between the Lakes on the Canal Loop Trail.
Land Between the Lakes Grand Rivers Ultra Trail Run 23k, Marathon, 60k and 50 mile trail runs. Runners must pre-register with West KY Runners Club.

Bluegrass Productions Top Gun Car Show Series Cruise-In
Second Saturday of each month, April – September / 3 – 8pm
Bluegrass Productions Top Gun Car Show Series Cruise-Ins. The Cruise-ins are open to all cars, trucks, tractors, and motorcycles. All makes, Models, and years of any kind are welcome to join in the fun. Entertainment, music, fun for the entire family. This is a free event with no charge to attendees or cars. In this little village of only 230 households and over 600 boat slips, Grand Rivers Marina Day is a big Celebration. This year’s Marina Day celebration in Grand Rivers will include Free children’s water fun and activities, Live Music, and a Big Fireworks show at Dusk. Kentucky’s Western Waterlands Arts & Crafts Fair
Saturday, September 5 – Monday, September 7, 2015
Location: Little Lake Park in Grand Rivers, KY
For Labor Day weekend, the place to go is the DOWNTOWN GRAND RIVERS. Original or handmade jewelry, furniture, baskets, quilts, pottery, lace, clothing, and wooden decorative items are featured along with stained glass designs, embroidery and paintings by exhibitors from nine different states. Over 100 different artisan and craftsman booths! Admission: $1.00 per person or $3.00 per car.

Hunters Moon Fall Festival

For over thirty years, the village of Grand Rivers has celebrated small town community life with an old fashion fall festival. This Famous Festival feature a taste of the lakes food vending area, craft and flea market vendors, Little Mr. and Miss Pageant, children’s Halloween costume parade and awards, children’s games and activities, live music and dance in Little Lake Park, and the big parade. Each year, the big parade is Santa’s first visit to Western Kentucky. The festival was started by the Grand Rivers Chamber of Commerce in the 1970’s as a celebration to bring together visitors and the community. Come Join in the fun!

Bluegrass Productions Top Gun Car Show Series Events Announces Motor Sport Hall of Fame

imagejpeg_2_7Bluegrass Productions Top Gun Car Show Series Events has announced the first inductee into the Top Gun Car Show Series Hall of Fame. Not only will there be show vehicles inducted from this area, but there will be many inductees across all aspects of motor sports in the U.S.

The honor goes to Mr. Larry Adams of Paducah, KY. Larry is one of the pioneers of car show promotions in Western Kentucky along with a classic car enthusiast. He was inducted based on his inspiration to others and his dedication to the sport of showing classic cars. Larry’s current car is a 1940 red Ford Sedan with a Chevy engine. His past cars include a 1938 Ford Red Coup. He has been described as a pure gear head 100% by fellow car enthusiasts.

“The Hall of Fame is a way to recognize those dedicated to the sport of show vehicle and the example they set for others”, said the Peal Family of Top Gun Car Show Events. “Larry Adams not only has a heartfelt passion for showing cars, he is an encouragement to others to carry on the tradition of the sport.”

The plaques along with a picture of the inductee’s car will be on display at their permanent home in the Visitor Information Center in Grand Rivers, KY, where hundreds of tourists can view them throughout the year.

Down Home Country Christmas
All of your Christmas favorites with a country twang! Join the Badgett Playhouse as they pay tribute to the great country songs that always put us in the holiday spirit. Complete with a fair dose of corny jokes and stories, enjoy two hours of tributes to great country artists and their Christmas classics both past and present.

The Sander’s Family Christmas
In this sequel to the popular hit ‘Smoke on the Mountain’, the Sanders family returns. It’s Christmas Eve, 1941. Reverend Oglethorpe
has invited them to the Baptist church to sing and witness, getting the congregation into the down home holiday spirit before the boys are shipped off to World War II.

The Big Band Christmas Show
Holiday Tunes With A Big Band Swing! Inspired by the popularity of the regular season Big Band Show, this production celebrates Christmas with that same nostalgic sound. Hear all of your favorite holiday songs from an era of music made famous by the likes of Glenn Miller & Frank Sinatra.

Tuna Christmas
In this hilarious sequel to A Greater Tuna, It’s Christmas time in the third smallest town in Texas. Its wacky citizens parade across the stage in a cavalcade of eccentric personalities all played by two actors. This is a total delight for any season.
