Piggyback Interactive Limited has announced a partnership with Konami Digital Entertainment to publish the exclusive strategy guide* to the highly anticipated METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN releasing September 1, 2015.

Piggyback will release two versions of the guide, a paperback version and a hardcover, collectable edition. The guides will be released in North and South America and across the European territories in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish languages. The guides will be available simultaneously with their game SKUs across all territories.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. has showcased the versatility of its highly-anticipated METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN through a new gameplay video.

Due for release on September 1, METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN is the most ambitious METAL GEAR SOLID title to date. While the series’ famed stealth action is still central to the new game, the new videos demonstrate the different ways the game can be experienced.

Each chapter is roughly seven-minutes long and focuses on characters, support systems, stealth options and different attack scenarios.

FREEDOM OF INFILTRATION – Gameplay Demo

1. Partnering with Quiet:METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN introduces a unique ‘Buddy’ system, wherein the player can select a recruited ally for use in missions. Quiet is a selectable ‘Buddy’ in the game, who possesses incredible sniping abilities. The first video showcases footage which demonstrates a mission where the player approaches a remote outpost using Quiet to orchestrate coordinated attacks to quickly incapacitate enemies and provide cover for Snake as he completes his mission.
2. Surgical Air Raid:Missions can also be tackled in a more overt manner, and the second video shows METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN’s more action-orientated elements. Having equipped series hero Snake with heavy riot gear, the player uses the artillery equipped on their helicopter to take out key installations within a night mission. Using automatic weapons, Snake then storms the outpost in a huge firefight, before locating and retrieving his target.
3. Remote Assassination:Patience is a virtue in METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN and the final video is used to show how missions can be completed from afar and also shows Snake’s Blast Arm in use for the first time. Having entered the area with a heavily-armoured D-Horse as his Buddy, Snake waits until night time before taking out a guard using a blast from his prosthetic arm. The arm’s projectile weapon capabilities are then showed as the player uses ‘Missile Cam’ to take out a central target akin to the Nikita System introduced in past METAL GEAR SOLID titles.
4. Thinking “Outside the Box”:The METAL GEAR SOLID series is famed for its stealth gameplay, and the third video is used to demonstrate how old favourites and new skills combine to create even more sneaking options for the player. The footage begins with Snake intercepting troops en route to an outpost having used the famed cardboard box in clever new ways. Via careful planting of explosives and an unwitting sentry, the mission is completed without even entering the base.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today released Suikoden III via PlayStation2™ (PS2) Classic on the PlayStation®Network.

Set roughly 16 years after the events of Suikoden II, Suikoden III takes place in the series’ Grasslands realm, North West of events in the second game. The Grasslands are overseen by six clans, and is under constant siege from the rulers of the large Harmonia nation to the East. An uneasy alliance exists between the two, following a huge battle 50 years hence. During the conflict, a warrior known as Flame Champion unleashed the power of the True Fire Rune, resulting in horrific casualties which ended the conflict.

In a first for the series, Suikoden III is presented using three main characters – with its ’Trinity Sight System’ offering three very different viewpoints of the world and the events that unfold. There is no ‘right’ side in Suikoden III and players control characters that have their own political views and divisions. Thus, the game is seen through the eyes of Hugo of the Grasslands’ native Karaya clan; Chris Lightfellow, a Knight of the Merchant nation; and Geddoe who is a border guard for nation of Harmonia. Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced its E3 2015 presence will focus on highly anticipated new entries for two legendary, award-winning game franchises – METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN and PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2016. Visitors to the Konami booth (South Hall #2401) will get a rare preview of these titles.

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN is the series’ largest and most ambitious edition to date set to release on September 1, 2015. Booth attendees will be treated to a new live demonstration of the game showcasing new content and features. Stage demos will run on a regular basis within the booth each day and all attendees are welcome to come by to view the new content.

KONAMI and UEFA announce new three-year deal as PES series retains exclusive rights to Europe’s greatest club football competitions

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has extended its agreement to exclusively feature the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League elements in forthcoming PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) titles for another three years.

KONAMI and UEFA has enjoyed a close relationship since the original agreement was signed in 2009 and the new partnership will allow KONAMI to use all iconography and presentation elements associated with the competitions exclusively within the PES series. The UEFA Champions League is Europe’s greatest club football competition and will be fully featured in all versions of the game for the next three years. All versions of the game will also feature official logos for the competitions across its packaging. (more…)

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced that Neymar Jr. is to be lead pack star of PES 2016, with the publisher also releasing a teaser trailer, confirming full reveal June 12^th.

Neymar Jr. heads up PES 2016 on the back of his most successful season to date. The world famous forward saw his club side win La Liga and Copa Del Rey domestically, which saw Neymar Jr. score in the final. He also went on to win the UEFA Champions League, an exclusive license in PES 2016, which completed a historic treble. Just 23 years-old, Neymar Jr. has been the golden boy of Brazil since his teen years, and now captains the national side. His wonderful and inspiring dribbling skills, together with deadly finishing and electric pace makes Neymar Jr. a current football superstar, with the promise of much more in the future.
