‘The Walking Dead’s’ Corey Hawkins to Star in Fox’s ’24’ Reboot
“Straight Outta Compton” star Corey Hawkins has landed the lead role in “24: Legacy,” the reboot of Fox’s long-running action thriller.
TVLine reports that Hawkins, who currently appears on AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” will play Eric Carter, a former Army Ranger who’s pulled back into action when is past comes looking for him. He eventually turns to CTU for help in saving his life and stopping a large-scale terrorist attack.
The new iteration is expected to feature nods to former CTU agents, but no appearances by ongoing characters.
Fox has so far only ordered a pilot for the project, which is intended to play out over 12 episodes, like 2014’s “24: Live Another Day.”
