The free Autodesk-provided courses here are based on the reference material in the AUえーゆー Workshop library, supplemented with software exercises, quizzes, and case studies. Whether you’re interested in individual courses or a comprehensive certificate program, these courses are all pre-approved for AIA and USGBC continuing education credits.

To register for any certificate our course, you will first have to create an account on our Learning Management System site. After successfully creating an account, you will register yourself for either a certificate, or a course. Click below to follow the process for each.

	Introduction to Building Performance Analysis Course This Introduction to Building Performance Analysis course will provide you with a background for building performance analysis (BPA) and help you later when you learn how to actually use Autodesk software. Duration: 3 hours Cost: Free
	Energy Literacy & Building Loads Course In this course, you will learn about how energy flows through buildings, what factors contribute to building loads, and how all these factors contribute to a building’s energy use. Duration: 3 hours Cost: Free
	Climate & Weather Analysis Course In this course you’ll learn about what climate conditions you should study before making design decisions, and how these climate conditions will dictate your design. You will also learn how to use Autodesk Revit to generate climate charts you can use to interpret energy analysis results. Duration: 3 hours Cost: Free
	Solar Measurements & Strategies Course In this course you’ll study how the sun will move across your site and how shadows will be cast on your site. You will also study shading devices as appropriate to your building. In Autodesk Revit, you will conduct a solar study that can inform site, massing, orientation, and shading. 	Wind & Airflow Strategies Course In this course, you’ll study the basics of air movement and how air moves around your building as well as within your building. Using Flow Design, we’ll show you how to visualize airflow around your building and how this visualization can translate to useful design decisions. Duration: 4 hours Cost: Free
	Daylighting Strategies & Analysis Course In this course you’ll study the basics of daylight and how it impacts visual comfort, interior space planning, and shading design. You will learn how to measure light and evaluate light levels. Duration: 5 hours Cost: Free

Simulation CFD for Building Design & AEC Applications
	Simulation CFD Fundamentals 1: Simulation Process, Geometry, and Materials Gain a fundamental understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technology. This course starts with an explanation of the workflow of Autodesk Simulation CFD, and how it can help the building design process. 	Simulation CFD Fundamentals 2: Boundary Conditions and Meshing Build on your fundamental knowledge of Autodesk Simulation CFD. In this course you'll learn how to define the surrounding environment’s interaction with your model, by setting boundary conditions for values like air temperature and flowrates. 	Simulation CFD Fundamentals 3: Solving and Results Interpretation Build on your fundamental knowledge of Autodesk Simulation CFD. 	Simulation CFD Applied: HVAC Layout Dive deeper into the application of Autodesk Simulation CFD to optimizing HVAC layouts. 	Cradle to Cradle Product Design: Designing for a circular economy Get practical product design strategies for the circular economy.
