23/02/2016 - Interior Ministry, EU sign agreement to boost cooperation in fighting extremism
Under the agreement, the EU will support the MOI in its efforts to counter extremism and violence. The EU will also assist civil society in Mafraq, Zarqa, Salt and East-Amman their work to prevent this phenomenon through an engagement with young people and communities. This will include providing recreational, social and cultural opportunities, as well as guidance, follow-up and psycho-social support. It will also comprise establishing and rehabilitating community facilities such as sports venues, libraries and cultural centres.
