Other Non-Christian Religions and Beliefs
Many faiths are now practised for which no indisputable body of conventions exists in the UK.
The Baha’i, Buddhist, Hindu, Humanist, Islamic, Jainist, Sikh and Zoroastrian faiths all have their cultural centres and places of worship, and it is recommended that an approach should be made therein to ascertain the correct forms of address for the various hierarchies of priests, ministers and officials of each faith.
Islam
There is no central organisation or authority for Islam. For further information, contact The Muslim Council of Britain, one of the UK’s largest Muslim organisations.
