Nicholas Logsdail

Dealer and Gallery Owner

Art dealer Nicholas Logsdail owns the Lisson Gallery, which he founded with Fiona Hildyard in 1967. The gallery aims to champion those who challenge preconceptions about the way art is made and presented, and has supported an array of international artists including Marina Abramović and Ai Weiwei. Logsdail was introduced to art by his uncle, Roald Dahl, and studied at Bryanston and the Slade. As well as two gallery spaces on London’s Bell Street, there is a Lisson Gallery offshoot in Milan, and it is rumoured that Logsdail will continue to expand his ‘multigenerational family’ of artists with a New York gallery opening in 2016.
