Sandeep Sekhri

Seeking out niches that need filling, Sandeep Sekhri, founder and managing director of Dining Concepts, has helped shape the Hong Kong dining scene over the past 13 years. On his first trip out of India when he was 24 years old, Sekhri arrived in 1990 with an idea to stay just a few years. As one of the first non-Chinese dining groups in Hong Kong to nurture home-grown talent and introduce celebrity chef brands, Dining Concepts has opened multiple restaurants over a short period, turning SoHo into a dining hub. Now Sekhri has 26 restaurants including Bombay Dreams, Braza, Craftsteak, Mama San, BLT Burger, Nahm and Al Molo, with 700 employees throughout Hong Kong and Macau. He will soon roll out Belgian café brand Le Pain Quotidien, offering organic freshly-baked treats across Greater China, and is opening Gordon Ramsay's London House in Tsim Sha Tsui East.
