Jeannie Cho Lee

Jeannie Cho Lee is the first Asian Master of Wine. Born in Korea, the award-winning author, television host, critic and educator has lived in Hong Kong since 1994 and is the CEO and publisher of LE PAN magazine. She designed the Jeannie Cho Lee Signature Wine Glass Collection and co-hosted the weekly TV programme In Vino Veritas. Lee is also professor of wine at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her book Asian Palate, which explores wine and Asian food pairings, won the Gourmand Award for Best Food and Wine Pairing Book in the World in 2010, while Mastering Wine for the Asian Palate introduces a new set of Asian wine descriptors for major grape varieties and wine styles. Lee holds a Certificat de Cuisine from Cordon Bleu and trained as a Sake Sommelier at Japan's Sake Service Institute. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College and a Master's from Harvard.
