Alexander Ng

Alexander Ng is leading the development and funding of health partnerships in China in his new role as deputy director of the China Health Programme for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Known for his thought leadership and vast knowledge base, Ng has for the past nine years been the go-to man at McKinsey & Company in Hong Kong, where he was co-leader of its Greater China Healthcare and Corporate Finance practices. For almost four years he has served as advisor to the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health on policy and research surrounding smoking cessation. He is also an honorary assistant professor, teaching core classes in the Master of Public Health programme at the University of Hong Kong. He has received degrees from Harvard’s School of Public Health, the University of Auckland and University of Otago.
