Stephen Chow

Acting did not come naturally to Stephen Chow when he first graduated from high school, but his offbeat humour, comedic timing and love of Bruce Lee’s speciality Wing Chun martial arts style, informed his own signature style combining sports and comedy. He was the producer, director, screenwriter and actor of much-loved blockbuster Shaolin Soccer, which was the highest grossing film in the history of Hong Kong cinema. He was also producer, director, screenwriter, actor and composer of Kung Fu Hustle on which he collaborated with another legendary action choreographer, Yuen Wo-Ping. Chow broke out into more serious films with a role in Final Justice, which earned him an award for Best Supporting Actor at the 25th Annual Taiwanese Film Awards.
