Commander, Joint Forces Command

Appointed commander of Joint Forces Command in 2013, General Sir Richard Barrons manages the allocated joint capabilities of the three British armed services, the British Army, Royal Navy and RAF. Having served in the army since 1977, Barrons has assumed many different staff and field posts throughout his career, serving in Germany, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan as well as at home in the UK.
