Liz Nicholl, CBE

Chief Executive, UK Sport

As chief executive of UK Sport, the body responsible for promoting and supporting sport across the UK, Liz Nicholl  plays an integral part in supporting both Olympic and Paralympic sports and athletes to realise success at Paralympic, Olympic and world level. The organisation seeks to capitalise on the success of London 2012 to enhance the performance system further, with the aim of being the first country to win more Olympic and Paralympic medals at the first Games after hosting the event. Nicholl, who was chief executive of England Netball for 16 years, was appointed CBE in 2015 for her services to sport.
