Motorway Driving
Keep a safe distance between vehicles. Try and maintain a steady speed; sudden accelerations or, worse still, braking, will disconcert other driver. Always indicate when changing lanes
Don't dawdle along in the middle lane, forcing faster drivers to swerve into the fast lane. If people are continually passing you that's a sign you should be in the slow lane.
If you're a frantic speed merchant mind your manners; that means not menacing slower drivers by swooping up to them, tailgating, or flashing your headlights.
Keep an eye out for inattentive drivers; keep your distance from any driver who's on a mobile phone or chatting to passengers - their actions may be dangerously unpredictable
Watch your speed. When merging onto motorways, use the slip road to build up to the same speed as cars travelling in the slow lane. If you come up to the back of a slow-moving or stationary queue, use hazard lights to warn the drivers behind you.
