Nury Vittachi

Fleeing his native Sri Lanka as a small child when his journalist father was targeted during the Civil War in 1958, Nury Vittachi is Hong Kong's best-selling English language author, having written more than 25 books, including novels and non-fiction. His many readers, both children and adults, in Hong Kong and around the world, are fans of his comedy-crime novel series The Feng Shui Detective, published in multiple languages, as well as his non-fiction works and novels for children. Author, blogger, columnist and journalist, Vittachi is also noted for his role in founding the Hong Kong International Literary Festival and the Man Asian Literary Prize. He is also founding editor of the Asia Literary Review, and has founded and judged a number of other literary prizes. His latest works include children’s trilogy The Magic Mirror, co-written with Luther Tsai, and 2012 novel The Curious Diary of Mr Jam.
