A former chairman at BAE Systems, Richard ‘Dick’ Olver’s career includes 30 years working with BP, where he was deputy chief executive, and he is one of the UK’s leading experts on oil and gas exploration. Olver was credited with turning around BAE Systems during his decade as chairman, and he was knighted in 2013 for his contribution to the defence industry. Olver has recently been approached to lead the £10 billion privatisation of Urenco, the nuclear fuel manufacturer. He is currently a member of the prime minister’s Business Advisory group, a UK Business Ambassador, and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
