Chris Morton is the man behind Lyst, a fashion e-commerce platform that allows customers to shop from over 10,000 designers and stores in one place. From the age of 16 Morton knew he wanted to start his own business, but worked for venture capital firm Balderton at the start of his career to gain experience – explicitly stating that his plan was to leave within three years to start his own company, which he did in 2010. Since launch in 2011, the website has grown over 300% each year and raised over $60 million from top-tier investors including Accel, DFJ, Balderton and the teams behind LVMH, Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta.
