Alicia Vikander

Actress

Alicia Vikander established herself as an actress in her native Sweden before making the jump into the international film industry when she appeared in 2012’s Anna Karenina. Since then, she has appeared opposite stars including Benedict Cumberbatch, Ewan McGregor and Jeff Bridges. Often receiving recognition for her performances regardless of the film’s reception, 2015 saw Vikander appear in eight films, earning herself Golden Globe and Oscar nominations for her role in The Danish Girl. She has also been confirmed for 2016’s fifth installment of the immensely popular Bourne franchise. Vikander was born in Gothenburg and trained from the age of nine at the Royal Swedish Ballet School there, before heading to Stockholm at 15 to train at its upper school. Suffering injuries throughout her teenage years, her dancing dreams were put to one side as she discovered her passion, and talent, for acting.
