Daniel Craig

Actor

Possibly the most iconic role a British actor could ever play, Daniel Craig has portrayed quintessentially British spy James Bond for the past four installments of the franchiseThanks to the power of his performances, Craig has become near-synonymous with the role and is a modern-day rival to Connery’s original classic in the ‘best Bond’ debate. Born in Chester, Craig began acting aged six before leaving school at 16. He moved to London after gaining admission to the National Youth Theatre, financing his move by working part-time in restaurants. After a number of auditions for various drama schools, Craig was eventually accepted to attend the Guildhall School of Music and Drama at the Barbican and graduated in 1991. He has appeared in a number of other films including Layer Cake and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and on Broadway.
