Dr Seto Wing Hong, SBS

Dr Wing Hong Seto has played a key role in infection control in Hong Kong since 1985 when he started a local training course for infection control practitioners. He is currently chief of service of microbiology and infection control officer at Queen Mary Hospital and the Hong Kong Hospital Authority’s West Cluster, and is heavily involved in infection control education throughout China and the region as founding president of the Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control. He has received honorary professorships from several universities in China and is also an honorary clinical professor at the Department of Community Medicine, School of Public Health at the University of Hong Kong. He has authored over 100 research papers and regularly acts as advisor to the World Health Organisation on projects in infection control and antibiotic resistance.
