Siobhan Haughey

At 17, Siobhan Haughey is Hong Kong’s first swimmer ever to qualify for the Olympics with an ‘A Standard’ by clocking two minutes, 13.07 seconds in the qualifying heat of the 200m individual medley at the World Championships in Kazan, Russia. Ranked in the top 15 in the world, Haughey earned direct entry to next year's Rio Olympics. Having just finished secondary school, she has enrolled at the University of Michigan where she will study while training for Rio, rising at 3 a.m. to complete her studies and swim practice in order to realise her Olympic dreams.
