Sir Philip Green

owner, Arcadia Group

Sir Philip Green is the owner of the Arcadia Group conglomerate, which includes well-known high street clothing retailers such as Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins. Green left school at 15 to work for a shoe importer and by the age of 23 he had established his first fashion business, importing jeans from the Far East. Today, the billionaire Green controls over 3,000 shops spanning five continents. 2015 saw Green sell off BHS, the loss-making stalwart of the British high street, but profits from his other interests remained robust, with five new Topshop stores opening in the US and 77 franchise outlets globally.
