Cathedral Campus Organizations

Organizations on the Cathedral Close

The Cathedral works in partnership with these independent but affiliated organizations, including nonprofit groups and educational institutions, to enrich our programs, increase knowledge and spiritual learning, and broaden our outreach efforts.

All Hallows Guild. This membership organization supports the maintenance of the grounds of the Cathedral Close.

Cathedral Choral Society. Founded in 1941, the Cathedral’s resident symphonic chorus is today a legally and financially independent non-profit organization.

Episcopal Diocese of Washington. The Cathedral is the seat of the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. The bishop and her staff work out of Church House, located on the Close.

Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation. The Foundation is the parent organization for the Cathedral and the three schools: Beauvoir, NCS, and St. Albans.

Beauvoir Elementary. Part of the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation, this is the elementary school on the Cathedral Close.

National Cathedral School for Girls. Part of the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation, this is the lower and upper school for girls founded in 1900.

St. Albans School. Part of the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation, this is the lower and upper school for boys founded in 1909.
