What do the Minister for the Status of Women, Kate Ellis, comedian Wendy Harmer and Australian food guru Margaret Fulton have in common? You probably already know that one is working to improve the lives of Australian women; one knows how to make your stomach hurt with laughter and one can cook a mean soufflé. But did you know that all of these women are also former Brownies and Guides?
In 2011, as we celebrate the Centenary of International Women’s day, there’s never been a better time to join Minister Ellis, Wendy Harmer and Margaret Fulton and reconnect with Guiding – one of Australia’s largest volunteer organisations for girls and young women.
So if you were a Brownie or a Guide or you know someone special who was, we want to hear from you or about them. We’re looking to celebrate Australian women who have lived lives of distinction – in the spotlight or otherwise.
We’re not asking for your money or your time. We’re simply building a pool of inspiration, from which current and future members can draw. Complete the form below and learn more about the difference that Guiding is making to the lives of girls and young women in Australia today.
If you've ever been a Guide but are no longer actively involved, now is the time to reconnect by completing the form below.
