A cold front is crossing the area today, bringing showers and thunderstorms the area, especially west of the Blue Ridge. The front will pass through the area Tuesday into Tuesday night bringing another chance for showers and thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening. High pressure will return Wednesday before moving offshore late in the week.
