Psychology Week 2016

Sunday 6 November to Saturday 12 November 2016

This annual APS initiative aims to increase public awareness of how psychology can help people and communities lead healthier, happier and more meaningful lives.

Psychology Week 2016 will comprise events across Australia, a media and social media campaign and the release of a range of resources that help Australians manage stress, improve their wellbeing and achieve a healthier lifestyle.

Every year hundreds of events are run across Australia from fun runs to festivals and public lectures. During Psychology Week, the APS invites its members and the public to host and participate in events that bring psychology to the community.

Since 2011, the APS has been conducting its Stress and Wellbeing Survey. In 2015, the survey focused on social media and its effect on the health, wellbeing and behaviour of Australians.
