The forecast from Norm Sprouse:
The Friday weather was certainly quieter across Central VA & the Shenandoah Valley compared to Thursday. We've seen one wave of low pressure exit to our northeast off the coast. As we go into the weekend into the start of next week, a front will remain stalled across the mid-Atlantic region today and tonight, with showers and thunderstorms becoming increasingly likely today. Low pressure tracking along the front will bring another chance of storms on Sunday. The front will gradually push south on Monday, with high pressure building in for the middle of the week.
Today: Mostly cloudy, scattered showers and t-storms likely, cooler but humid, highs 82-87. Sunday: Sun and clouds, warmer and humid, scattered PM t-showers, highs 86-92. Monday: Partly sunny, warm and humid, few PM t-showers, highs 85-91. Tuesday: Mostly sunny, less humid, highs 84-88. Wednesday: Mostly sunny, pleasant, highs 82-86. Thursday: Mostly sunny, stray PM shower, pleasant, highs 84-88. Friday: Sun and clouds, few PM storms possible, highs 87-91.
