State Police Investigating Fatal Crash in Augusta County

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va (WVIR) -

One person is dead in a pick-up truck crash in Augusta County.

The accident happened Saturday around 2:44 a.m. in the 500 block of Greenville School Road.

State police say a second person in the Toyota pick-up was taken to Augusta Health with serious injuries.

Their names have not been released.

Troopers are still investigating the cause of the crash.

At 2:44 a.m., Saturday (Aug. 6, 2016), Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash in Augusta County. The crash occurred in the 500 block of Greenville School Road. A Toyota pickup truck was traveling along Greenville School Road when it crashed. There is one confirmed fatality. A second occupant of the vehicle was transported to Augusta Health for treatment of serious injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.
