CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -

UVa junior safety Quin Blanding and Virginia Tech junior wide receiver Isaiah Ford have been named Preseason All-ACC, according to a vote of media members at the ACC Football Kickoff.

Blanding is on the preseason team for the second year in a row.

He was named First-Team All-Conference at the end of last season, after finishing second in the league 115-tackles.

Blanding was also named Second-Team All-American last year.

He has started every game for the Cavaliers since joining the team as a true freshman in 2014.

This summer, Blanding has been named to the Watch Lists for the Bednarik Award, the Nagurski Award, the Thorpe Award. and the Lott Trophy.

Virginia will hold its first practice of the season a week from Friday.

Hokies' receiver Isaiah Ford led the league with over 1,164 yards receiving last year.

He is the first Hokies player to ever cross the thousand-yard plateau.

The 6-foot-2 receiver set a Virginia Tech single-season record with 75 receptions, and was named First-Team All-ACC at the end of last season.

This summer, Ford has been named to the Preseason Watch Lists for the Biletnikoff Award and the Maxwell Award.

The Hokies open the season at home against Liberty on September 3rd.
