New opportunites for growth

Campaigns

In addition to our day to day functions and general support for the Museum, the Foundation is currently raising funds for a number of high-value projects to enhance the Museum and the National Flight Academy. These projects include major endeavours such as aircraft maintenance, building construction or renovation, and significant equipment upgrades.

If you would like more information on how you can contribute to one of these fund-raising campaigns, contact our Executive Director of Development, Michele Sweigart ( msweigart@navalaviationmuseum.org ) by email or call 1-800-327-5002.

Naval Aerospace Medicine Exhibit

The Naval Aviation Museum Foundation is asking for your help to support the Naval Aerospace Medicine Exhibit at the National Naval Aviation Museum. The Naval Aerospace Medicine exhibit is the result of a long collaboration between the National Naval Aviation Museum, the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation and the Naval Aerospace Medical Community, and will provide visitors valuable insight and knowledge about the role of aeromedical personnel who help make aviators successful and train them to withstand the mental and physical demands of flight.

SB2C Helldiver Restoration

Recovered from Otay Reservoir in 2010, SB2C-4 Helldiver Bureau Number 19866 is awaiting restoration at the National Naval Aviation Museum. The infamous Helldiver served as the successor to the SBD Dauntless dive bomber during World War II, and its eventual completion will fill an important gap in the Museum’s collection.
