The forecast from Meteorologist Clayton Stiver:
While still warm and humid through the weekend, a more noticeable change of the air mass will arrive early next week! Clouds will continue to be on the increase this morning with a few light showers not out of the question. Some patchy fog is also possible. A better chance for widely scattered showers and t-storms is expected later Sunday as a cold front tracks across the region. Some of the storms may produce locally heavy rain and strong winds. Behind this front we will be seeing a very nice stretch of weather! Strong high pressure will settle in from the northwest for Monday and dominate the weather across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast for much of the rest of the week. This will lead to mostly clear skies, very low humidity, comfortable afternoon temps, and cool/refreshing overnights. Relief is on the way! The high pressure system will slowly move off the coast by the end of next week making for a southwest wind and the return of warmer temps and higher humidity.
Today: Mostly cloudy, humid, a couple showers in the morning giving way to scattered showers/storms mainly from 11am-5pm, breezy late afternoon through the evening, highs 84-89. Tonight: Clouds early giving way to mostly clear skies overnight, cooler, lows 61-66. Monday: Mostly sunny, cooler and much less humid, highs 79-83. Tuesday: Mostly sunny, very comfortable, highs 80-84. Wednesday: Mostly sunny, pleasant, highs 81-85. Thursday: Mostly sunny, nice, highs 83-87. Friday: Sun and clouds, isolated PM t-shower, warmer and more humid, highs 88-92. Saturday: Mostly sunny, still a little humid but cooler, highs 84-88.
